Slovak AF MiG-29 to fly a solo display
Slovak Air Force has decided to make their presentation even more attractive by announcing a solo display of their MiG-29AS, thus complementing the Mi-8, L-39 and MiG-29 on the static park.
“Thanks to the Slovak Air Force support, we can look forward to a MiG-29 solo display, first in three years. We believe our visitors will appreciate this attractive presentation featuring the singular roar of the aircraft’s two Klimov afterburners,” says Zbyněk Pavlačík, head of the Jagello 2000 Association, the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days main organizing agency.
The MiG-29 aircraft is familiar to NATO Days regular visitors. These MiGs have been flying over Ostrava since 2010, then presented by Poland and Slovakia. In 2012, a pair Slovak MiGs even demonstrated a simulated dogfight and last year, one of the Slovak aircraft took part in the Czech-Slovak ceremonial opening joint fly-by.
