Slovenian PC-9M Hudournik will appear in a dynamic display

Visitors of this year's NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days can again look forward to the participation of Slovenian air force. It will traditionally present its PC-9M Hudournik training aircraft in a flying display.

Slovenia presented these aircraft at NATO Days for the first time in 2012 in both the dynamic and static display. This year, Slovenian PC-9M Hudournik will solely show in the air. Nevertheless, it does not need to be the one and only Slovenian aircraft that visitors could see at NATO Days. The support aircraft L-410 comes together with the PC-9M to Mošnov and although it will not officially be on a display, it should be possible to watch its departure and arrival due to its operational requirements on Sunday.

“Participation of Slovenian air force in this year's NATO Days is quite surprising for us because we did not expect it anymore. The more we welcome this display which represents a suitable contribution to our show's programme,” says Zbyněk Pavlačík, the chairman of Jagello 2000. “The presence of L-410 may also be attractive for visitors whose could see it in the air. On the other hand, it seems that its departure and arrival will be before and after the main programme. In addition, it will be the fourth L-410 aircraft at Mošnov airport - there are already two confirmed L-410 of Czech and Lithuanian Air Forces on a static display, and another Czech L-410 should conduct aerial photography over the venue.”

PC-9M Hudournik is a light turboprop aircraft manufactured by Swiss firm Pilatus Aircraft. It is usually used by military air forces in their pilot training programmes before moving on to more advanced fighter jets thanks to its air-to-ground capability.
