The companies belonging to the CZECHOSLOVAK GROUP (CSG) holding company and the TATRA TRUCKS car manufacturer have been traditional partners of the NATO Days and the Czech Air Force Days for many years. In addition, they have the status of a special partner of this very popular event among spectators and experts this year.
In addition to the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic and NATO partner countries, companies from the Czech and foreign defense industries also present themselves to the public at the NATO and the Czech Air Force Days. Every year, the largest exhibitors include the CZECHOSLOVAK GROUP technology holding company and the TATRA TRUCKS car manufacturer. The holding companies operate in the field of ground military equipment, weapons and ammunition, special equipment for military and rescue services, but also in the production of cars or aviation equipment and equipment for aviation.
"CSG holding companies and TATRA TRUCKS have been participating in NATO Days for many years and we perceive this event as prestigious, as evidenced, among other things, by the fact that we are its special partners. The NATO Days allow us to acquaint experts and the general public with the results of our work. We can show them that the Czech defense industry, of which we form a significant part, can be compared to abroad and that our unique systems and vehicles belong to the technological cutting edge, "said Andrej Čírtek, spokesman for the CSG holding.
This year, in addition to TATRA TRUCKS, TATRA DEFENSE VEHICLE, RETIA, ELDIS, and EUROPEAN AIR SERVICES will present their products. The famous Kopřivnice car manufacturer TATRA TRUCKS will be exhibiting the latest version of the Tatra Tactic 6x6. It is the second generation of a medium military truck, also offered in a 4x4 version. Compared to the first generation introduced in the Czech Armed Forces, the new generation of the Tatra Tactic has a completely new Tatra cabin, the elements of which are unified with the Tatra Force series.
TATRA TRUCKS will also exhibit a proven range of Tatra Force military heavy vehicles, specifically in 4x4 and 6x6 versions. Tatra Force cars are developed primarily for military purposes and are used in the Czech and Slovak armies and other countries. However, thanks to their very good properties and durability, they are also used by civilian operators, for example, in the mining industry or fire and rescue services. The military Tatra trucks will also be complemented in the exhibition by a representative of the civilian product line in the form of the Tatra Phoenix 8x8 car.
The company TATRA DEFENSE VEHICLE (TDV), also based in Kopřivnice, specializes in the development and production of wheeled armored vehicles and their repairs or modernization. In TDV, for example, they produce the well-known Pandur II 8x8 armor or TITUS armored vehicles, which were ordered for their needs by the Army of the Czech Republic. TITUS on the Tatra 6x6 chassis will be another exhibit in the CSG holding exhibition at the NATO Days. For the Czech army in TDV, in cooperation with other companies of the CSG holding or the French company Nexter, they are developing three special versions of the TITUS vehicle - connecting (KOVS), command-staff (KOVVŠ), and fire support coordination (MKPP). The first prototypes of TITUS vehicles are currently being tested.
The RETIA company, part of the CSG Aerospace division, which ensures the development and implementation of electronic systems in TITUS vehicles, also participates in the TITUS project for the Czech Armed Forces. In addition to electronic systems, the domain of the RETIA form is radar and recording technology. In the CSG exhibition at the NATO Days, RETIA will present the first Czech 3D radar called ReGUARD. ReGUARD is a universal system optimized for the detection and simultaneous tracking of slow, low-flying objects with a small reflecting surface and ground targets, but of course, it can also search for and track aircraft or helicopters. It is therefore also suitable for the detection of unmanned aerial vehicles. There will also be a special portable radar ReTWis 5, which enables the detection of living persons behind solid non-metallic obstacles and which, for example, has already won the first orders from security forces in the USA. RETIA will also present its share in supplying new Spyder anti-aircraft systems for the Czech Armed Forces.
ELDIS Pardubice also belongs to the CSG Aerospace division. ELDIS is dedicated to producing and developing radar technology and air traffic control systems and is one of the leading Czech manufacturers of active radar systems that serve civil organizations providing air traffic control and military entities. It is at Leoš Janáček Airport in Ostrava, where the NATO Days take place regularly, that they use the primary surveillance radar manufactured by ELDIS. At the exhibition, the company will present its model solutions for airport radar installation options.
Another company in the CSG Aerospace division is EUROPEAN AIR SERVICES (EAS). EAS deals with the training of pilots and ground staff through the Slovak Training Academy (STA) training center and the sale of helicopters and aircraft while offering professional advice and financing of purchases, spare parts supplies, and machine maintenance, aerial maintenance work, and commercial air transport. For example, EAS is the only commercial operator of the legendary UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters in Europe. At this year's NATO Days, EAS will present the MD 530 helicopter.
