The Czech Prison Service will demonstrate escape of prisoners and present its history
The Czech Prison Service belongs among traditional participants of NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days, contributing with even more attractive displays this year. While the dynamic display demonstrates prison break, the static display will commemorate the anniversary of this security service.
Dynamic displays of the Czech Prison Service are always a popular spectacle for visitors. Its members will continue to build on their last year's performance, where they interfered against escaped prisoners which was met with a great success.
"During a prison riot, a group of prisoners will escape the guarded area. After they overcome the fences of prison, they will reach the public communication. They will be waiting for a vehicle of their companions, that are supposed to take them to the place of escape, " explains Petr Dohnal, Director General of the Czech Prison Service. Visitors can find out right on the spot, how will the members of the Operational Escort Group of Czech Prison Service deal with escaped prisoners.
The Czech Prison Service prepared an exhibition focusing on the development of the prison system in touch with the 100th anniversary of the formation of Czechoslovakia and the 25th anniversary of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic as a modern institution. Visitors will thus be able to compare the development of the Czech prison system from 1918 to the present day.
"Naturally, our escort and other vehicles with a typical violet stripe won’t be missing this year, but we want the visitors to get familiar with new projects concerned with the education and employment of convicts as well," added Petr Dohnal.
