The Swiss PC-7 TEAM returns to Mošnov

16.02.2023, 10:59

After four years, the Swiss PC-7 TEAM is returning to the Mošnov airport. Visitors to the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days can look forward to a dynamic display by the leading Swiss aerobatic team for the second year in a row.

At last year's event, the Patrouille Suisse group performed a wonderful show of group aerobatics with F-5 jets in Swiss colours. And now the nine-member PC-7 TEAM on turboprop machines will follow up on them in an unprecedented way.

"Until now in the history of the event, one country has never sent an acrobatic group two years in a row, now we will see it from Switzerland. We greatly appreciate the fact that they are showing such interest in our event, because Swiss participation is always a great attraction," says Zbyněk Pavlačík, chairman of Jagello 2000. "The PC-7 TEAM already performed here in 2019 and we are looking forward to its very precise group performance."

The team was officially founded in 1989 and all the time it uses PC-7 turboprop aircraft from the Swiss company Pilatus, which are mainly used for training new pilots. Among the aerobatic groups, it stands out, among other things, for the size of the crew, with nine machines making it the largest group ever to perform at the Mošnov airport. Another interesting thing is that the team members also have to fulfill standard duties in the form of guarding the national airspace, so public appearances are not their only job. Also for these reasons, the PC-7 TEAM performs relatively rarely abroad.
