Czech Army Ground Forces will showcase dynamic and static displays
The Army of the Czech Republic is not only a key organiser of NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days but also its most significant participant, without which the event would be hard to imagine. In addition to their crucial role in logistics, the ground forces have traditionally prepared a range of exciting dynamic displays as well as a substantial amount of military equipment for static displays.
During an attack by a mechanised and tank platoon on an enemy infantry squad, the 7th Mechanised Brigade will showcase its strength with the main battle tank Leopard 2A4, two T-72 M4CZ tanks, the TITUS armoured vehicle, and four BVP-2 infantry fighting vehicles. They will then demonstrate their ingenuity in cooperation with the Cyber Forces and Information Operations Command and the 22nd Helicopter Air Base during an assault on the forward edge of defence, utilising psychological warfare and electronic warfare methods. At the static display, visitors will be able to explore the interiors of the showcased equipment.
“We are honoured that almost all units of the Czech Army Ground Forces will once again be featured at NATO Days,” says Zbyněk Pavlačík, Chairman of Jagello 2000. “Every year, the army provides the most static and dynamic demonstrations, and without its logistical support and well-executed work, it would be almost impossible to hold the event.”
The 53rd Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare Regiment will also collaborate with the 22nd Helicopter Air Base, offering an adrenaline-fuelled raid on an enemy position by rappelling from a helicopter to rescue a high-priority individual. Their role within NATO and international cooperation will be highlighted through joint displays with the German army. For the first time, visitors will be able to see the Leguan bridge-laying tank in action, as well as the Puma armoured vehicle and equipment from the 42nd Mechanised Battalion.
The Ground Forces' presentation doesn't end with dynamic demonstrations. Visitors can look forward to an extensive static exhibition, including the 31st Regiment of Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Protection with S-LOV-CBRN and LOV-CBRN II light armoured vehicles, the 43rd Paratrooper Regiment from Chrudim with LR 130 Kajman vehicles, and the 13th Artillery Regiment from Jince with LOV-Pz light armoured vehicles and the TITUS armoured vehicle in the MKPP version. In addition to the equipment, there will also be a range of military-themed activities for visitors.
