Czech Army's support units will not be missing at this year's NATO Days!
Neither ground nor air forces could function without the support of military agencies, the Military Academy, and other support units. Visitors to this year’s NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days will have the opportunity to become acquainted with these essential units.
These logistical, training, and other support units will once again offer a variety of equipment and engaging activities, providing insight into the functioning of military support operations.
"Non-combat units and support branches of the military are often less visible to the public, yet they are crucial to its functioning," comments Zbyněk Pavlačík, Chairman of Jagello 2000. "We are therefore pleased to offer them a platform to showcase their role. While it may not involve massive aircraft or fighter jets, it highlights what is essential for getting those planes and tanks into action."
For instance, the Communication and Information Systems Agency will bring two TITUS KOVS vehicles, a VSAT satellite system, and a tactical command post to demonstrate how they ensure the operation of communication and information systems for both air and ground forces.
The Logistics Agency will be present with a historic T-34/85 tank, a military Tatra T 815 MSH, and several dozen historical weapons for viewing. They will also display the equipment and uniforms of military personnel, including a ghillie suit.
The Vyškov Military Academy will attract those interested in joining the Czech Armed Forces. Alongside plenty of useful information, they will display a Pandur 8X8 vehicle and light armoured vehicles Dingo II and Iveco 4X4.
Equally interesting will be the presentation by the Military Health Agency, where visitors can explore field medicine. On-site will be a field dental unit, an intensive care unit, and a pharmacy. How the military transports the wounded will be demonstrated by IVECO LZTOP and POP 2 vehicles.
At the Personnel Agency's stand, visitors will have the opportunity to speak with Czech Armed Forces members and learn about the conditions of military service. The static display of the Regional Military Command Ostrava will inform visitors about the command’s activities, the reserve units, and the preparation of citizens for state defence.
