NATO Days will see a duel of firefighters. You can even try it
The Fire and Rescue Service of the Moravian-Silesian Region has prepared the premiere exhibition presentation of the Firefighter Combat Challenge (FCC) for the NATO Days in Ostrava & the Czech Air Force Days. But you can also look forward to popular examples of firefighting equipment.
The MSK Fire and Rescue Corps, which is one of the organizers of the event, traditionally presents its technique, both on static demonstrations and on dynamic ones, during which spectators can get acquainted with the activities of this corps. However, firefighters have prepared a complete novelty for this year. During the Firefighter Combat Challenge (FCC) exhibition, a selection of both professional and volunteer firefighters will be presented in several challenging disciplines. For brave visitors, it will be possible to try out some of the disciplines under supervision.
"The Fire and Rescue Service, like the Czech Police and the Army, ensures a smooth and safe course of the entire event, for which they deserve our thanks," emphasizes Zbyněk Pavlačík, Chairman of Jagello 2000. "We are happy to provide them with a space for the presentation of this attractive sport, where they will perform in a completely different way than what our visitors are used to."
In addition to a demonstration of the FCC fire sport, spectators can also look forward to equipment designed to extinguish forest fires. Those interested can also learn more about extinguishing forest fires at a traditional discussion with participants, which will take place on Friday, September 17, at the Knihcentrum in Ostrava from 2:00 p.m.
