Presentation of Regional Military HQ: Shooting from submachine gun or obstacle course
The Regional Military Headquarters (RM HQ) Ostrava will once again have the presentation at NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days, this time aimed on both adults and children. The active reserves’ members of RM HQ will offer the exposition of the equipment and uniforms, as well as photo and video gallery, or the opportunity to try the shooting from submachine gun.
The primary task of the RM HQ is according to the law and other special legislation to administer state affairs. Further, the RM HQ Ostrava fulfils the state defence assignments or trains active reserves. Those reserves participate on the number of exercises thorough the year, as it was the last year’s Safeguard Mošnov 2015 at the Leoš Janáček Airport. The mission included activation of the highest security emergency status Delta and cooperation of the various Czech security units, including the Police Task Force.
„People in the region are becoming more and more familiar with the active reserves’ activities – this is proved by the increasing number of candidates for the job positions,” comments the platoon commander Sergeant Major Jaroslav Holík. “Our task is to help the region in times of crisis, however we have decided to focus our presentation at NATO Days to the children, who can release some energy on the obstacle course or on the shooting range,” Holík concludes.
The Warrior obstacle course will check the children’s abilities to crawl, throwing a grenade or running through the obstacles. Understandably, the small prices and candy will not be missing.
Besides the typical exhibition of the equipment and uniforms, the visitors can also go through the photos and videos from trainings. Moreover, people can try to shoot from submachine gun on the trainer. Last but not least, the RM HQ members will provide the necessary information regarding the job opportunities.
