The photo competition dominated by the traditional NATO Days moment
The NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days regularly experience an iconic moment as part of the opening ceremony, which all visitors eagerly await and which cannot be overlooked. And the picture of the opening shot from the T-72 tank of the Czech army was rated as the best of the submitted images in this year's event photo competition.
"Everyone is anxiously waiting for it, countless lenses are aimed at it, but then everything happens so quickly that it is very difficult to capture the right moment. However, Petr Novák managed to do exactly that and his picture appealed to the jury," reports Zbyněk Pavlačík from Jagello 2000.
1st place: Petr Novák
Markéta Krajhanzlová's picture caught the eye with its combination of events in the air, on the ground in the form of pyrotechnic effects and the international dimension of the event during the demonstration of the L-159 aircraft of the Czech Air Force. Petr Franek then managed to capture a spectacular moment from the demonstration of the Zelazny acrobatic group, which also reminds us of Poland as this year's Special Partner Nation.
In the end, the battle for the Public Award narrowly ended in favor of this year's biggest crowd-puller, which was the performance of the U.S. Air Force's F-35A aircraft piloted by Captain Kristin Wolfe. A large number of them arrived at the competition, but the photo by Denis Jurkovič appealed to the most fans.
