U.S. bombers to land on Tuesday afternoon
Traditionally, we would like to give the aviation fans an opportunity to enjoy arrivals of the foreign participants of the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days. The U.S. B-52 and B-1B strategic bombers will land on Ostrava Leoš Janáček Airport’s runway on Tuesday afternoon.
The arrival of the strategic bombers B-1B Lancer and B-52 Stratofortress from the 307th Bomb Wing of US Air Force Reserve is planned on Tuesday, September 13, between 2:30 PM and 3:00 PM CET. The aircraft will depart from RAF Fairford base, England, therefore thanks to the absence of the trans-Atlantic flight, both bombers are supposed to arrive in the given time in very small intervals.
„Quite certainly, most of the Ostrava’s inhabitants will notice the arrival of these two giant aircraft, nevertheless we would like to give all the aviation fans an opportunity to see the arrival and landing directly at the airport by announcing it in advance,“ says Zbyněk Pavlačík, CEO of Jagello 2000. „Understandably, we will also announce the arrival times of other participants soon.“
For those people, who are interested in having a unique souvenir from the anniversary NATO Days, the 307th Bomb Wing has prepared a weekend sale of the special patch.
