Visit Ostrava and Moravian-Silesian Region, not just NATO Days!
NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days are traditionally held at Leoš Janáček Airport, the aviation gateway to the largest city in Moravian-Silesian Region. Ostrava Leoš Janáček Airport as well as City of Ostrava and the Moravian-Silesian Region participate at the organization of the event at the long-term basis already.
Ostrava is the largest city in Moravian-Silesian Region and the third largest city in the Czech Republic. Today the “green“ and clean city pride itself on a long industrial history, whose symbol is National Cultural Monument The Lower Area of Vítkovice. Ostrava ranks among the most modern cities of the country thanks to its universities, high-tech facilities, a wide range of trade, services, cultural and sports centers. The city hosts both NATO Days in Ostrava and Czech Air Force Days, as well as other major events such as Ostrava Golden Spike or music festival Colours of Ostrava. The city is attractive not only for tourists, investors and students, but also for families as a place to live.

Moravian-Silesian Region can be proud of its position on the border of three countries almost in the heart of the European continent. Leoš Janášek Airport Ostrava, where the show NATO Days takes place presents itself as the main gateway to Ostrava and the entire Moravian-Silesian Region. The airport still evolves, but it is possible to encounter there both international and domestic airlines‘ aircraft, which are every third weekend in September supplemented by military aircraft of partner countries. This year, it will be on 19 and 20 September!
