Another US participation: Dynamic Apache, static KC-135 and F-16
This year’s United States armed forces participation at NATO Days & Czech Air Force Days is going to be outstanding. Apart from well-known convertiplane CV-22B Osprey and strategic bomber B-52, the visitors may look forward to static presentation of KC-135 stratotanker, F-16 fighters and unique dynamic display of AH-64 Apache attack helicopter.
The United States is going to overcome historical record of exhibited aircraft and moreover show a unique exhibition for this year’s visitors.
Overall five American aircraft are going to introduce themselves in Ostrava on static presentation. Attack helicopter Apache will demonstrate dynamic display, which has never been introduced in the Czech Republic.
„This is a historical participation of USA at NATO Days and they will demonstrate not only an unmanned aircraft but also large spectrum of aviation equipment helicopters, transportation airplanes, fighters and strategic bomber,“ stated Zbyněk Pavlačík from Jagello 2000.
CHANGE: Because of the missing permission for the public display, AH-64 will not appear at the show AH-64 Premiere Display Is Cancelled (18 Sept 2015) |
Attack helicopter AH-64 Apache, which was designed especially to destroy armoured ground targets, will show its dynamic display only during Saturday morning. After that, it will fly away straight into Poland. Apache underwent its premiere at Mošnov Airport in 2008 during Dutch Air Force presentation. Participation of American helicopter was enabled due to its training at Ample Strike 2015 exercise, which is currently ongoing at Czech Náměšt nad Oslavou base. Attack helicopter AH-64 is a part of U.S. Army Europe in Germany, which already presented the helicopter Black Hawk at NATO days 2008.
Refueling KC-135 Stratotanker is among other US presented equipment as well as F-16 fighters.
