LOM PRAHA will show Enstrom 480, Mi-2 and other displays both in the air and on the ground
Visitors of this year's NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days may look forward to a presentaion of six aircraft and helicopters of the main strategic partner of the event, LOM PRAHA. Alongiside with aircraft from the Flight Training Centre in Pardubice, they will get the opportunity to look at the equipment at both dynamic and static displays.

Visitors of this year’s edition will observe a very interesting dynamic exhibition as the Mi-2 and Enstrom 480 helicopters will be presented. Helicopter with a legendary status, Mi-2, will experience one of its last showcases and the company LOM PRAHA will substitute it in form of the new American multipurpose helicopter Enstorm 480, which will be also displayed at the static exhibition. This type of helicopter is being used by police units in various parts of the world, training of the military pilots is just one of many examples of its use. Therefore, at NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days, we will experience live replacement of helicopters.
The dynamic exhibition will be enriched by Z-43, L-410 and L-39 Albatros aircraft with three Z-142’s, which will join the historical flypast commemorating 100 years of the formation of Czechoslovakia.
The company LOM PRAHA predominantly focuses on modernization, reparation and maintenance of both military and civilian aircraft. It provides a complete training of the future pilots not only for the Czech Air Force. For these purposes the Flight Training Centre in Pardubice is being used alongside with aircraft such as Zlín 43, Zlín 142, L-39 Albatros, L-410 and helicopters Mi-2 and Mi-17.
LOM PRAHA is the sole repair service company for the Mi helicopter series in all NATO member countries, certified by the Russian construction offices MVZ Mill and OVO Klimov. Compared to its competition, the company, which was established in 1915, offers a complex array of services connected to the proliferation of aircraft and aviation technology. It specializes mainly in overhauls, support of life cycles and modernization of the Mi helicopters.
As a part of aforementioned Flight Training Centre, the company built a Tactical Simulation Centre where pilots train various tactical and combat situations via modern technology enabling almost life-like visualization. The simulation helps pilots prepare for a vast number of combat situations they could possibly encounter during their service.
The development and manufacturing of the simulators is done by the VR Group, a subsidiary company under the umbrella of LOM PRAHA. VR Group does not just develop pilot simulators, but also simulators for ground troops as well as a complex crisis management systems, for example, used to stimulate a state of emergency during natural disasters.
