Ostrava Municipal Police will be part of NATO Days this year as well
Already an integral participant of the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days is the Ostrava Municipal Police, which will offer visitors a rich programme and will prepare a widely used bicycle storages for cyclists.
Visitors can look forward to a joint dynamic display of police officers from the Hippology, Cynology, and Operations Department, focused on intervention against an enraged crowd that seriously disturbs public order.
There will also be canine experts who will perform with their four-legged partners very attractive and popular displays of apprehending offenders in situations they may encounter in the course of their duties. Also, interesting will be the display of the dog's obedience and its perfect cooperation with the handler.
The presentation of the Ostrava Municipal Police will also include a static display of its equipment and gear used by officers in the course of their normal duties. A new special vehicle equipped with a mobile camera system, which makes it possible to monitor public order in places where fixed camera systems are not installed, will be presented.
Visitors interested in working for the Ostrava Municipal Police will also be introduced to the recruitment campaign "The Best Time for a Change".
The children will then be attended by officers from the Prevention Section. In a playful way, they will introduce them to the work of a police officer, children will be able to colour pictures with police themes and a number of games, competitions and quizzes will be prepared.
Not only children, but also the adult public will be able to try safe handling of weapons. Everyone will be able to test their shooting skills on the laser shooting range.
Three bicycle storages with a total capacity of more than 10,000 bicycles will be available for cycling visitors throughout the event, which will also be operated by Ostrava Municipal Police officers.
