Popular Action Afternoon on Wednesday before the show is back!
For occasion of the fifteenth anniversary of the show we decided, in cooperation with Dolní Vítkovice and Radio Čas, to renew tradition of favoured Action Afternoon in Ostrava that used to serve as a limited preview of the show. The event is taking place on Wednesday, 14th September from 15 until 18 p.m. in Dolní Vítkovice. Visitors can expect exposition of the selection of military equipment in advance of the Weekend Show at Leoš Janáček Ostrava Airport. Moreover, visitors can win an extraordinary ride in TITUS vehicle mounted on a TATRA 6x6 chassis.
“We are very grateful for restoration of the event, we can once again offer those interested a small preview, after six long years since the last Action Afternoon. Thanks to Dolní Vítkovice, where the event is taking place, and Radio Čas that is supervising production, we may provide the chance for people here right in Ostrava, it is for people unable to visit the main show at Leoš Janáček Ostrava Airport,” stated Zbyněk Pavlačík from Jagello 2000.
The contest is also prepared for visitor, who can win a ride in TITUS armoured vehicle as a main prize. It was donated by TATRA TRUCKS a.s., which is together with CZECHOSLOVAK GROUP a.s. a special partner of NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days. “One lucky visitor of Action Afternoon in Dolní Vítkovice will have the chance to ride in TITUS at the airport during the main show with two of his or her friends,” added Zbyněk Pavlačík.
Action Afternoon is taking place on Wednesday 14th from 15 up until 18 p.m. in Dolní Vítkovice at area beyond the entrance from Ruská Street, near white visitor centre building. “Apart from the military equipment that will be on display at NATO Days in Ostrava, visitors can expect our aircraft MiG-21, which is exhibited here the entire year,” said Martin Lindovský from Dolní Vítkovice.
“The cooperation between Dolní Vítkovice and NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days is not ending with Action Afternoon. We prepared 20% discount for admission to Science and Technology Centre and U6 Science and Technology Centre for visitors of the main show. Vouchers will be ready to collect during show weekend at the airport in our stand near large screen. Above that, there will be chance to try out our unusual gyroscope simulating high levels of acceleration. Particularly aviators are subject to such high levels, therefore brave visitors may try to be in their shoes,” added Martin Lindovský.
“We are developing long-term cooperation with Dolní Vítkovice. This year means a milestone, great leap forward and I believe we will carry on increasing Ostrava’s good reputation domestically and in the rest of the world,” concluded Zbyněk Pavlačík.
