Swiss Super Puma back at NATO Days!

02.04.2021, 14:40

After nine years and last year's cancelled participation, the Swiss display team with a Super Puma helicopter is returning to NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days.

The Air Force from the country of the Swiss Cross always presents itself with attractive flight demonstrations at NATO Days. Fans probably remember the impressive performance of the aerobatic group PC-7 Team and the F/A-18 Hornet fighter aircraft two years ago. This year, however, Swiss Air Force will repeat its premiere participation from 2012 and will present the flight capabilities of the AS332 Super Puma helicopter.

"Last year, Switzerland had to cancel the participation of this helicopter due to a pandemic and insufficient training. We are pleased that it was postponed for only a year and that we will see Super Puma and Swiss Air Force again in a stunning demonstration over Mošnov Airport," says Zbyněk Pavlačík, Chairman of Jagello 2000. "Information has already appeared on social networks that this may not be the only Swiss trail on this year's NATO Days. However, the Super Puma helicopter is currently the only officially confirmed display," adds Pavlačík.

The AS332M Super Puma twin-engine helicopter was developed by Aérospatiale and Eurocopter during the 1970s. These machines excel in their versatility and controllability and are used for the transport of people, material, or for search and rescue operations, for which they are equipped with night vision devices. During the dynamic demonstrations, flare magazines will also be used, which contribute to the efficiency of the performance.
