University of Defence to offer information on studies and award-winning quadcopter
During the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days are introduced the means at the disposal of the Czech Republic and its allies in the field of ensuring their security, the institution that prepares and educates experts to operate this defence equipment - the University of Defence - cannot be absent.
During the NATO Days, the stand of the University of Defence will be part of the Career Centre together with the presentation of the Army of the Czech Republic and the Secondary Military School from Moravská Třebová. In its stand, the University of Defence will also present the results of its scientific research activities, including a quadcopter that won an award at a competition held in Cairo, Egypt. The advantage of this unmanned vehicle is the significant use of additive, in other words, 3D printing.
"The University of Defence is the only military university in the Czech Republic from which graduated experts come to the Army of the Czech Republic and use their knowledge to strengthen our security and defence," said Zbyněk Pavlačík, Chairman of Jagello 2000. "The University is also of great importance to the NATO Days directly, as its students are involved in various fields in the organisation of the event."
Younger visitors to the stand of the University of Defence will be able to play games and solve logic quizzes with a military theme, such as the memory game with aviation theme, puzzles or rank recognition. They will also be able to build a self-supporting Da Vinci Bridge or solve the famous Hanoi Tower puzzle.
And of course, those interested in studying at the University of Defence will be able to obtain the necessary information at the stand, not only from its staff, but also from the students of the University faculties from Brno, including military pilots, air traffic controllers and Air Force staff officers. Many of their student colleagues are involved in the actual organisation of the event, whether as escorts for foreign visitors, coordinating flight displays on the Display Line, assisting in the Air Force Commander's Ground Box or filming safety video footage of aerial dynamic displays.
