His crewmate, Captain Cosmin Gaman, nicknamed “Pisoi” (kitten) has a few more steps to become a flight instructor. He has more than 400 flight hours of which more than 300 on IAR 99 Hawk. Hawk uses British Rolls-Royce turbojet engine produced under licence in Romania. IAR 99 Hawk replaced Czech L-29 Dolphin and L-39 Albatros as jet trainers for Romanian Air force. |

Its dogfights with US made F-86 Sabre during Korean War are legendary. This MiG-15UTI was made in the Czech Republic by Aero Vodochody company in 1955. Later, it served in Poland and after the fall of iron curtain it found its way to USA, California as a private jet. Czech Flying Legends bought this fighter in 2013 and brought it back to the Czech Republic. After a thorough refurbishment, MiG-15UTI is flying again. It is a subsonic fighter jet with maximum speed over 1000 km/h. |

Attack helicopter Mi-24/35, NATO code name Hind, can engage air and land targets with its un/guided rockets and heavy machine gun. Hind is one of the fastest helicopters in the sky. It can fly over 300 km/h. Czech Mi-24/35 Hinds will be replaced by US made Bell AH-1Z Viper. |

In June their performance was awarded on air show in English Cosford. 212th Tactical Squadron of Czech Air Force flying on advanced light combat aircraft L-159 ALCA domestically produced by Aero Vodochody aerospace company. The aircraft is designed for close air support. Currently, Czech Air Force purchased new Lightening 4i targeting pods enhancing its strike capabilities. 14 L-159 are used in counter-terrorist missions by Iraqi Air Force. This year personnel from 212th Tactical Squadron returned back home from training mission in Iraq, making it the squadron`s first foreign deployment. |

This is his last show as Czech Gripen display pilot. 211th Tactical Squadron of Czech Air Force with their Saab JAS-39C/D Gripen multirole fighters is a member of elite NATO Tigers club. Five Czech Gripens are currently deployed in Estonia on Baltic Air-Policing mission. Czech Gripens form 211th Tactical Squadron have already been deployed three times in Baltics and three times on Iceland on air-policing missions. |

The paratroopers will jump from Czech and Polish C-295 cargo airplanes. |

The aircraft is the latest and the most advanced Typhoon in RAF, the Typhoon FGR4. It is an air-superiority fighter with full land attack capabilities. Typhoon was developed in a joint program together with Germany, Italy and United Kingdom. It has two extremely powerful turbofan powerplants EJ200 which make fantastic noise typical for Typhoons. |

Tank is equiped with the system for security of three-member crew, which contain commander, gunman and driver. Modernization was aproved by the Czech government in 1994. In total 30 tanks were re-designed. According to the experts ratings it was the best modernization of T-72. The TR-85 is a main battle tank designed for the armed forces of Romania currently the most modern tank in service. "Bizonul" is a name modernized version, has been in service since 1997. Bison uses new 100 mm BM-412 Sg APFSDS-T projectiles. Completely redesigned suspension with 6 road wheels on each side is protected by metal side skirts. Combat weight is 50 tons. The engine technology was obtained using spy rings and confidential assistance from the Federal Republic of Germany. |

According to Paris Treaty from 1947, Finnish Air Force was limited to 60 fighter jets. As the Hawks were counted as trainers (even though they were armed), Finnish air force could augment its capacity. These historic conditions were nullified in early 1990s. |

His current qualifications are Flight Instructor/Inspector on both types of helicopter. W-3A Sokol is used in the Czech Air Force for transport a search and rescue missions. W-3A Sokol is a Polish made helicopter by PZL Swidnik company. |
