Capture of a person of interest by an ambush

102nd Reconnaissance Battalion, 22nd Helicopter Air Force Base

The purpose of this dynamic display will be to capture a person of interest. Reconnaissance unit will perform an ambush that will lead to the capture of the selected person. After that, there will be a confrontation with the adversary and a withdrawal from the area of ​​operation. The ambush will be carried out by a reconnaissance group with the support of assigned air support.

NH-90 TTH

German Army

Twin-engine multi-purpose helicopter NH90 of the German army will also make its premiere at NATO Days. It will be presented to visitors in a dynamic and static display. German Army uses NH90 for tactical transport of soldiers and material, but also for medical transport, for support airborne operations or emergency assistance and disasters.

Eurofighter Typhoon

Austrian Air Force

Solo display of the Austrian Typhoon will be a great experience. In the cockpit will sit a pilot with the nickname Falco who has a total of 1,900 flying hours of which 500 hours are in the Eurofighter. The aircraft can reach speed of up to 2,495 km/h and is known for the famous sound of its two powerful engines which visitors will be able to hear live.

W-3A Sokol MEDEVAC display

24th Transport Aviation Base

Display pilot Captain Jiří Jogl has total flight time of 2300 flight hours of which more than 2000 flight hours logged on W-3A Sokol. The Medical Rescue Service of the Moravian-Silesian Region, together with a helicopter, will perform a dynamic display of the rescue of a person in inaccessible terrain using the undercarriage of the helicopter of the air rescue service. W-3A Sokol is used in the Czech Air Force for transport a search and rescue missions. W-3A Sokol is a Polish made helicopter by PZL Swidnik company.

The ribbon will be handed over to the 24th Transport Air Force Base for the long-standing support of the event.

Tactical Paradrop HALO

JW AGAT

The Polish special unit JW AGAT, which is dislocated in Gliwice, will demonstrate a tactical paradrop HALO which is an acronym for the words "High Altitude, Low Opening" which in practice means that the jump from the plane takes place at a high altitude then it’s followed by a free-fall descent and the opening of the parachutes at a height of about one kilometre. Polish specialists will jump from the height of 4 000 m in three groups of five to six people each. During HALO jumps paratroopers can reach speed of up to 200 km/h.

Mi-24/35V + Mi-171š

22nd Helicopter Base

Attack helicopter Mi-24/35V, NATO code name Hind, can engage air and land targets with its un/guided rockets and heavy machine gun. Despite its size, Hind is one of the fastest helicopter on the sky. It can fly over 300 km/h. Czech Mi-24/35V will be replaced by US made Bell AH-1Z Viper. Therefore, this may be one of the last public appearances of this helicopter in the ranks of the Army of the Czech Republic.

F-35 Lightning II flypast

Royal Netherlands Air Force

After a year, the modern 5th generation F-35 Lightning II aircraft returns to NATO Days. Compared to last year, this year visitors will see it in the air in a flypast where the machine of the Royal Netherlands Air Force will be presented. The features that make the F-35 a fifth-generation aircraft include multi-purpose use, stealth technology (invisibility to radars), high maneuverability and advanced avionics. The Netherlands currently has 24 F-35A aircraft in service, with the total number expected to rise to 52 in the future.

JAS-39 Gripen E

For the first time in Central and Eastern Europe, the most modern combat aircraft model from Saab, the JAS-39 Gripen E, will be presented at NATO Days. Visitors will be able to compare its flight capabilities with the previous version, as the Hungarian Gripen C will also be displayed in the air. The Czech Gripen C will be on static display. Together they form a group of all Gripens that are in service of european continental countries.

The dynamic demonstration will be performed by Hungarian display pilot David Szentendrei. This is one of three demonstrations of the JAS-39 Gripen. Two dynamic and one static displays will showcase Gripens of all three European users.

T-72M4CZ & Leopard 2A7

7th Mechanized Brigade, KMW

T-72M4 is a complex czech modernization of Soviet T-72 tank for the level of the third generation. Tank is equiped with the system for security of three-member crew, which contain commander, gunman and driver. Modernization was aproved by the Czech government in 1994. In total 30 tanks were re-designed. According to the experts ratings it was the best modernization of T-72.

Sav m/43

Military History Institute in Prague

This year the Military History Institute prepared a demonstration of the self-propelled assault gun Sav m/43. The Sav m/43 cannon was manufactured by the Swedish company Scania-Vabis in 1944 for the needs of the Swedish Royal Army. The advantage of this type of equipment over a tank is its structural simplicity and cheaper production because the chassis of an unused tank can be used to make an assault gun. And precisely the chassis of the Czechoslovak tank LT vz. 38 were used for the manufacture of the Sav m/43.

Aero Vodochody

Spectators can look forward to a full-fledged aerobatic demonstration, which they are used to with Aero Vodochody aircraft. The L-39NG aircraft has a fully open flight envelope, so during the aerobatic demonstration, the pilots are not limited by any restrictions that would force them to compromise.

The Governor of the Moravian-Silesian Region, Mr Ivo Vondrák, will award the Director of the Moravian-Silesian Region Fire Rescue Corps, Colonel Radim Kuchar.

International Helicopter Training Center, German Army

In this dynamic display you will see helicopter Eurocopter EC 135 from the German training center IHTC. Light multipurpose helicopter EC 135 is also used for training of new pilots who use them after basic training in Bell 206 which you can see in static presentation.

Attack on the Enemy's position

7th Mechanized Brigade

Czech armoured units will conduct a joint attack against enemy forces. Czech 7. mechanised brigade is the heaviest firepower of the Czech Army. They use modernised tanks T-72MCZ, tracked infantry combat vehicles and wheeled infantry combat vehicles Pandur II. Currently, a competition for replacement of old Soviet era built tracked combat vehicles is under way.

Slovak Air Force

The UH-60 Black Hawk multi-purpose helicopters from the American company Sikorski have been operating in Slovakia since 2017. Their versatility allows their use not only for combat operations and support of ground forces, but also for training and providing assistance in natural disasters.

The B-52 flypast was planned as part of a training flight. Unfortunately, it will not take place due to an operational change. For more than 60 years, the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress eight-engine bombers, designed for both conventional and nuclear airstrikes, are the backbone of the United States Strategic Bomber Air Force.

7th Mechanized Brigade

The BVP-2 vehicle will be presented in a dynamic display. It is a light combat amphibious tracked vehicle with high mobility and armour protection. In the future, it will be gradually replaced by CV90 machines in the arsenal of the Army of the Czech Republic.

Canine experts of the Police of the Czech Republic

The presentation will be divided in five parts. The first part will present K9 tactical handling. The K9 officer will have his dog between his legs, so that he has his hands free for the manipulation with gun. Another four parts are various model situations like neutralisation of offenders.
