The Army of the Czech Republic is undoubtedly the most important participant of the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days, and its contribution to the logistics of the event is irreplaceable. It is also difficult to imagine a weekend program without demonstrations of its abilities, and this year our armed forces have prepared quite a few of those for spectators.

The greatest attention is traditionally drawn to a coordinated attack on an enemy base under the leadership of the 7th Mechanized Brigade and with the involvement of heavily armoured vehicles. Spectators of the live broadcast can also look forward to a demonstration of the operational deployment of members of the elite 102nd Reconnaissance Battalion, which will be supported by the Mi-171š and Mi-24/35 helicopters from the 22nd Helicopter Air Force Base. Both the T-72 tank and the helicopters will be presented in separate demonstrations as well.

"The Army of the Czech Republic is a key partner in providing logistics for NATO Days. At the same time, it is also the most important participant, which every year presents many ground and air demonstrations," emphasizes Zbyněk Pavlačík, Chairman of Jagello 2000. "However, the participation of the Czech Army does not end with these demonstrations. We will publish the further participation of the Air Force which will be marked by this year's 15th anniversary of Gripen aircraft in the service of our Air Force."

Members of the Czech Army will also be among the awarded during Saturday's ceremony. The military played one of the key roles during the first wave of COVID-19. In particular, it contributed by providing its professional but also logistical capabilities, helping with the distribution of medical supplies and protective equipment, securing collection centers, and engaging military medics in tracing infected people. However, the soldiers also helped in affected social facilities, including, for example, the Ostrava Alzheimer's Centre, where they provided disinfection, but also routine client care.
