L-39C and L-39NG together in Ostrava sky

The unique international parade of military, security and rescue units NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days will take place on 16 and 17 September 2023 at Leoš Janáček Ostrava Airport. As in previous years, the state enterprise of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic LOM PRAHA will be among the participants.

It will undoubtedly offer an attractive flight performance of the L-39C subsonic jet trainer, which will perform together with a representative of the new generation of subsonic trainers from AERO Vodochody - the L-39NG. LOM PRAHA s.p. and AERO Vodochody AEROSPACE a.s. will thus display the past and the future in the training of flying personnel in the skies of Mošnov.

The subsonic jet trainer L-39 Albatros plays an irreplaceable role in flight training. The Flight Training Centre of the state enterprise LOM PRAHA has been operating the C (trainer) version since 2004, and in 2021 the fleet of L-39C's reached a significant milestone in the form of a total of 20,000 flight hours.

LOM Praha s.p. (Malešice Aircraft Repair Works) is a state enterprise operating in the field of aerospace defence industry. In 2004, a new organizational component of LOM PRAHA s.p. was established, namely the Air Training Centre Pardubice, which provides complete training of pilots of the Czech Air Force. Its services have also been used by foreign countries such as Poland, Afghanistan and Burkina Faso.
