29.06.2023, 09:21

The Spanish Air Force confirmed its sixth participation in the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days. After five years, the Eurofighter Typhoon combat aircraft will arrive from the Iberian Peninsula for a dynamic display.

At the Mošnov airport, it will once again meet the Typhoon of the British Royal Air Force, just as it did during its previous performances in 2016 and 2018.

"Dynamic displays of Eurofighter aircraft are very popular, not only due to their high performance and the famous sound of the two engines. Therefore we are pleased to be able to offer visitors two performances of these aircraft. Also presented by the British and Spanish aircraft, they were last seen in 2018," said Zbyněk Pavlačík, Chairman of Jagello 2000. "The Spanish return after five years is a clear demonstration of the cohesion of NATO countries and, in the context of the war in Ukraine, it is a clear gesture of support for allied commitments .”

The twin-engine supersonic Eurofighter Typhoon was developed primarily for air supremacy, but it was also modified for attacks against ground targets. Thanks to its agility, flight characteristics, and the typical sound of the two engines, it is very popular in public performances. The Spanish Air Force operates a total of 68 Typhoons and plans to increase this number in the future.
