Šonka will perform aerobatics in Zlín aircraft
After three years, LOM PRAHA training aircraft will be presented at the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days. Martin Šonka, the vice-champion of the world in aerobatics, prepared an attractive dynamic display for the visitors.
Fleet of Zlín aircraft from LOM PRAHA s.p. will be presented to the audience both in Saturday's and Sunday's ceremonial opening flypasts. The solo dynamic display of the world's leading acrobat pilot-instructor of CLV and winner of the Mayor's Award for the best aerial display of 2019, Martin Šonka, will certainly be very attractive. "Even with this Zlín aircraft you can do challenging manoeuvres. The pilot has to switch and work with other performance and flight characteristics of the machine," pointed out Šonka.
The training of military pilots at the Aviation Training Center of the state enterprise LOM PRAHA has been going on for eighteen years. From the very beginning, the Zlín Z-142C AF training propeller aircraft has been among the equipment in operation. His first flight in the Pardubice CLV took place on March 23, 2004, when the local instructors began to train on it. Subsequently, from April 2004, practical flight training started in Zlín with students from the University of Defence Brno.
